If conditions and weather are favorable, the Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team will continue prescribed burning this week at Lake Tahoe. Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, the Nevada Division of Forestry and the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit will burn piles on the East Shore and Kingsbury Grade to reduce excess vegetation (fuels) that can feed unwanted wildfires.

Conditions and weather permitting, Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team members will continue prescribed fire operations this week at Lake Tahoe. The Nevada Division of Forestry will burn piles at Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park south of Tunnel Creek to reduce excess vegetation (fuels) that can feed unwanted wildfires.
