Spring Prescribed Fire Operations Continue at Lake Tahoe

The Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team will continue prescribed burning this week at Lake Tahoe, conditions and weather permitting. Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District and the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit will burn piles on the East Shore and Kingsbury Grade to reduce excess vegetation (fuels) that can feed unwanted wildfires.
