ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) – The Placer County Office of Education is proud to announce that students and staff members from 53 Placer County schools have been recognized by California Positive Behavioral Interventions (PBIS) and supports for their exceptional commitment to fostering positive school environments during the 2023-2024 school year.

Educators, administrators, and district leaders gathered to celebrate this achievement at a formal recognition event on March 20 at the Placer County Office of Education in Rocklin.

Each year, California
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports acknowledges schools across the state for their dedication to implementing equitable, research-based behavioral support systems. These strategies help create welcoming and structured learning environments where students can thrive academically and socially. Being among the select schools recognized by California Positive Behavioral Interventions is a significant achievement, highlighting the unwavering commitment of Placer County educators to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and student success. Schools earning these accolades have demonstrated exceptional dedication to implementing practices that promote positive behavior, reduce disciplinary incidents, and improve overall school climate.

“Placer County schools continue to demonstrate excellence in fostering positive, supportive learning environments that lead to student success,” said Placer County Superintendent of Schools, Gayle Garbolino-Mojica. “Creating a strong school climate is foundational to high achievement, and we are proud of the continued dedication of our educators, staff, and students.”
