“We are very pleased that Trisha Hirashima has expanded her role and become a Court Commissioner"

The Placer Superior Court is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Trisha J. Hirashima of Granite Bay, California as the newest Court Commissioner, effective July 19, 2021. Ms. Hirashima fills a parttime Commissioner vacancy created as a result of the Court’s approval of a request by Commissioner John Ross to move to part-time service. Commissioner Hirashima will be assigned to the Gibson Courthouse in Roseville and Commissioner Ross will be assigned to the Tahoe Courthouse in Tahoe City

Ms. Hirashima currently serves the Court as a Senior Legal Research Attorney. Ms. Hirashima joined the Court in August 2011 as a Legal Research Attorney before being promoted to her current position in 2016. Prior to serving the Court, Ms. Hirashima was an associate with the Law Office of Robert A. Huddleston and Huddleston & Sipos, LLP. Ms. Hirashima will continue in her capacity as a Senior Legal Research Attorney, in addition to her new duties as a Commissioner.

“We are very pleased that Trisha Hirashima has expanded her role and become a Court Commissioner. She is very well qualified. She will be an impressive judicial officer because of her temperament, her vast experience in civil law, and her sense of public service. She is the first Asian American woman to serve as a judicial officer in the history of the Placer Superior Court. We also want to thank Commissioner John Ross for his many years of service as a full-time Commissioner and for his continuing commitment to the North Lake Tahoe community.” said Presiding Judge Alan Pineschi.

Ms. Hirashima was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999 and a Juris Doctorate and a Public Interest Law Certificate from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2004.
