“I'm proud of the educational community in Placer County"

AUBURN, CA (MPG) - In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, celebrated May 4, and Classified School Employee Week, celebrated May 16-22, Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica released the following statement:

“Placer County is gold in education because of the profound and lasting impact educators and school employees have on our students and school communities.

“Particularly during this pandemic year, I recognize the resilience, innovation and unending dedication to students. Because of these efforts in collaboration with Placer County Public Health, Placer County was among the first in the state to successfully reopen schools for in-person instruction in Fall 2020 – and keep them open.

“I commend all of Placer County’s certificated, classified, confidential and administrative staff for their unparalleled contribution to the lives of students, as mentors and as examples of character, who continuously provide exceptional education, and who work tirelessly to provide distinctive learning environments to meet the needs of all of our students.

“I'm proud of the educational community in Placer County, and I am pleased to recognize you all during National Teacher Appreciation Day and Classified School Employee Week.”
